Architecture of Objects
At Salone del Mobile 2026, Bonaldo unveiled a collection that celebrates 90 years of Italian design through an immersive exhibition titled Architecture of Objects. More than a furniture display, the presentation explored how beautifully designed furniture can shape the way we experience our homes, bringing together architecture, craftsmanship and contemporary living.
Designed by architect Massimo Castagna, the stand invited visitors to experience complete interiors rather than individual pieces. Carefully layered spaces, refined material palettes and sculptural forms demonstrated how proportion, light and texture work together to create harmonious living environments.
Sculptural dining furniture
The dining collection reflected Bonaldo's architectural approach through statement tables that balance bold forms with refined craftsmanship. Designs including the Flatiron, Liaison and Oshi tables transform the dining room into a sophisticated gathering place, where asymmetrical bases, expressive materials and elegant proportions become defining architectural features.
Living spaces designed for connection
Comfort and flexibility were central to the living collection. The new Aldebaran and Grant modular sofas introduce generous curved forms that encourage conversation while offering exceptional versatility for contemporary homes. Their soft silhouettes are complemented by the sculptural Amour and Ellison armchairs, where flowing lines and carefully balanced proportions combine visual lightness with everyday comfort.
Organic coffee tables including the Sasso collection, together with the architectural Alicanto sideboards, complete living spaces that feel connected, welcoming and thoughtfully resolved.
A refined approach to bedroom design
Bonaldo extends its design philosophy into the bedroom with furniture that balances softness, craftsmanship and architectural presence. The Belloalto bed introduces generous proportions and tailored detailing, while the Holden bed embraces a more minimalist expression through clean lines and carefully resolved upholstery.
Complementing these designs, the Isabey bedside table combines curved timber with elegant detailing, adding warmth and functionality to contemporary bedroom interiors.
Materials that define the collection
Throughout the exhibition, Bonaldo demonstrated its commitment to exceptional materials and craftsmanship. Rich timbers, expressive marbles, ceramics, textured concrete-inspired finishes and refined metallic details were selected not simply for their appearance, but for the way they contribute to each design's architectural character. A palette of warm browns, soft greys and natural ivory tones created interiors that feel tactile, timeless and quietly luxurious.
